Cruzeiro missed the chance to move above Fluminense into second in the Brazilian Campeonato table after losing 4-1 at Santos.

Santos had Eduardo sent off but still won easily with goals from Ortolan Marcel, Edu Dracena, Sandro and Neymar. Cruzeiro's goal came from Thiago Ribeiro.

Atletico Goianiense defeated Gremio Prudente 3-0 with Santos Agenor, Thiago Feltri and Marcos Santana getting the goals. The visitors also had Rodrigo Mancha sent off.

Kleber scored twice, once from the penalty spot, and Lincoln also netted as Palmeiras won 3-1 at Flamengo whose goal came from a Dejan Petkovic penalty.

Rafael Moura scored twice and Carlos Alberto was also on target as Goias won 3-0 away to Sao Paulo.

Dermival Baiano scored the only goal from the penalty spot as Guarani won 1-0 against Vasco da Gama.
