Guti's late penalty denied Fenerbahce all three points, but it was not enough to give Besiktas a share of first place in the Super Lig.
Mamadou Niang opened the scoring after 26 minutes for Fener, a lead which they held for an hour before Guti converted from the spot to earn his side a point.
A win would have taken Besiktas level with Bursaspor at the top of the table but, as it is, the leaders will take a two-point cushion into their game in hand at Gaziantepspor tomorrow.
Elsewhere today, two goals from Emmanuel Emenike sandwiching Hakan Ozmert's effort gave Karabukspor a 3-0 win over Genclerbirligi, who had substitute Hursut Meric sent off, while Herve Tum scored the only goal as Istanbul Buyuksehir saw off Konyaspor 1-0.
