CSKA Moscow's title ambitions suffered a setback as they were beaten by cross-city rivals Lokomotiv in a derby match that saw both teams finish with 10 men.

Maicon scored the game's only goal after 25 minutes and, as mid-table Lokomotiv stubbornly held on. Only the 70th-minute dismissals of CSKA substitute Mark Gonzalez and Malkhaz Asatiani gave the fans much else entertainment.

Defeat for CSKA leaves them 10 points adrift of leaders Zenit St Petersburg in third place.

Fourth-placed Spartak Nalchik were also on the wrong end of a shock result as they lost at second-from-bottom Krylya Sovetov.

Nenad Djordjevic scored the opener after 72 minutes before Pavel Yakovlev sealed the points three minutes from the end.

Dinamo Moscow were the most convincing winners of the day with a 3-1 home win over Terek Grozny.

The capital club did have to recover from a goal down after Shamil Lakhiyalov's 34rd-minute opener but were level on the brink of half-time through former Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi.

Alexander Samedov fired his side ahead after 66 minutes before Igor Semshov added a third six minutes later.

Fifth-placed Rostov were 1-0 winners at home to Anzhi Makhachkala with Timofey Kalachev scoring the only goal in the 56th minute.
