Valencia midfielder Ever Banega is set to be sidelined for up to a month after spraining his left ankle.

Banega had to be replaced 23 minutes into last night's Primera Division game against Racing Santander and, after undergoing tests today, it was determined the Argentina international will be out for around three to four weeks.

That could rule the 22-year-old playmaker out of the UEFA Champions League matches against Bursaspor and Manchester United, as well as the Primera Division games with Hercules, Atletico Madrid, Sporting Gijon and Athletic Bilbao.

Valencia beat Racing 1-0 to make it two wins out of two in La Liga this season.
