Central Coast Mariners moved into a three-way tie at the top of the A-League today following a 1-0 win over 10-man Melbourne Heart at Bluetongue Stadium.

Daniel McBreen scored the game's only goal - his second in as many weeks - heading home a cross from Pedj Bojic in the 20th minute.

Heart secured their first ever A-League victory last weekend but never looked liked building on that against the Mariners, who dominated throughout the match.

The visitors' task was also made harder just seven minutes into the second half when defender Michael Beauchamp was sent off for an alleged headbutt on Oliver Bozanic.

The Mariners are on 11 points along with Adelaide United and Perth Glory, but have played a game more. Heart are sixth with five points.
