Al Sharjah have signed Brazilian defender Gustavo Lazzaretti on a one-year loan. The 26-year-old joins the UAE side from Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense.

Lazzaretti began his career with Atletico before switching to Botafogo in 2004. He was loaned to Italian outfit Udinese in 2005 and moved to Treviso the following year.

He returned to Atletico Paranaense in 2006 before being loaned out again to Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes last year.
