Huh Jung-Moo, who guided Korea Republic to the Round of 16 at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, has been installed into the hot-seat of K-League side Incheon United.

The Taeguk Warriors had never previously reached the knockout phase of the tournament outside their own country, but despite arresting that statistic the 55-year-old chose to step down.

Incheon will be the third K-League side Huh has coached at having previously been in charge of Pohang Steelers and Chunnam Dragons.

"I'd like to give my sincere appreciation for newly-named manager Huh on behalf of the club fans and the Incheon citizens," Song Young-Gil, United's owner and the mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City said in the Korea Times.

"We hope Huh, who is acknowledged for his great leadership by taking South Korea to an unprecedented World Cup second round this year, will play a crucial part for the team to flourish."

Huh's first match as Incheon coach will be the home encounter with Busan I'Park on September 4 as he looks to end a five-game losing streak and guide them into the K-League play-offs.
