Marseille have reached a deal to sell striker Mamadou Samassa to Valenciennes.
Samassa, 24, spent last season on loan at Valenciennes, scoring seven goals.
The Mali international, who played at youth level for France, was seen by Marseille as a replacement for Djibril Cisse when he first signed in August 2008.
But he needed four months to score his first goal and managed only two in 32 appearances.
