Saudi League champions Al Hilal picked up their first win of the new season with a 1-0 victory over Al Taawon. Al Hilal owe their win to midfielder Abdullatif Al Ghannam who found the net after only seven minutes.

Jeddah giants Al Ahli also registered their first win of the season seeing off Al Hazm 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Imad Al Hosani, who scored with ten minutes remaining.

The final match of the night was a thriller as Al Wahda and Al Faisaly shared a 3-3 draw. Croatian midfielder Dario Geretic put Al Faisaly ahead on the half hour mark before Soulayman Amidou levelled for Al Wahda.

Al Wahda then jumped ahead through Salman Al Sabyani, and Al Faisaly's troubles grew when Abdullah Doush was shown a second yellow card. But they equalised regardless as Saber Hussain found the net, and then snatched what seemed to be the winner through Migen Memelli in the 88th minute. But Al Sabyani had other ideas and grabbed a late equaliser to earn a point.
