Wolfsburg have ruled out the departure of Grafite after having already declared Edin Dzeko and Zvjezdan Misimovic not for sale at any price.
The Brazilian striker, who was the Bundesliga's top goalscorer in 2008/09, was reportedly attracting interest from Rubin Kazan, who have already signed Obafemi Martins from Die Wölfe.
However, Wolfsburg's managing director Dieter Hoeness told Kicker magazine today that "the issue has been dealt with" and that the player would be staying put.
Hoeness recently ruled out the sale of Dzeko and Misimovic, and warned interested clubs off the pair to avoid any unnecessary speculation which could divert their attention from preparing for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
New Wolfsburg coach Steve McClaren is keen to keep as many of the players who won the Bundesliga with the club in 2009 as possible, and has hinted that Grafite has a leading role to play in his side.
