Two penalties from Landon Donovan could not prevent the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Major League Soccer Western Conference leaders, slipping to a 3-2 loss to the Chicago Fire on Sunday.
The visiting Fire were three up within 20 minutes, as Marco Pappa, Collins John and Mike Banner all got the better of Galaxy goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.
Donovan pulled goals back from the spot on 37 and 81 minutes, but the Galaxy could not find a leveller and slipped to their third defeat of the season.
