Spartak Nalchik moved up to third in the Russian Premier Liga with a 2-1 home win against Terek Grozny.

Roman Kontsedalov put Spartak ahead in the 16th minute and a Leandro da Silva penalty five minutes before the break doubled their lead. Terek halved the deficit through Hector Bracamonte's 50th-minute effort and were handed a further boost when the hosts had Miodrag Dzudovic sent off just after the hour mark.

Spartak, though, held out to win and move to within a point of second-placed CSKA Moscow.
