Saudi Arabian giants Al Shabab confirmed today that they have agreed a deal with Uruguayan Daniel Carreno to manage the team next season. The 47-year-old succeeds Brazilian Edgar Ferreira, who led the team towards the end of last season following the dismissal of Portuguese boss Jaime Pacheco in April.

Carreno has previously coached several teams in Uruguay, including Montevideo Wanderers and Club Nacional, and he has also managed Liga de Quito in Ecuador and Deportivo Cali in Colombia.
