Barcelona youngster Jonathan dos Santos has signed a contract extension with the Spanish champions, tying him to the Nou Camp for a further two years.
Dos Santos has progressed through the ranks at Barcelona since joining their youth team in 2002 and made his debut this year. The 20-year-old featured in three league matches, one UEFA Champions League game and a Copa del Rey tie.
"I want to stay my whole life at Barcelona although many things can happen in football," Dos Santos told the official club website. "I am grateful for the confidence they have put in me all these years and I hope to continue like this. Now that I am here, after so much work, I hope to enjoy it as much as possible."
Dos Santos will now remain at the Nou Camp until 2012, while his release clause has also been upped to €30m. The midfielder was included in Mexico's preliminary squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ but was left out of the final 23.
