New York Red Bulls midfielder Carl Robinson is set to miss up to six weeks of the Major League Soccer season after undergoing knee surgery.
The former Wales international underwent the procedure, which was described by the club as "successful", yesterday in New York to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee.
Former Wolves, Sunderland and Norwich player Robinson, 33, joined the Red Bulls from MLS rivals Toronto FC in March and had played four regular season games in an injury-hit start to his New York career.
