Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has quashed rumours linking him with a return to Real Madrid this summer. The Spanish press believe the Holland international is one of the players Jose Mourinho is keen to continue working with should he, as expected, quit Inter for the Bernabeu.
However, Sneijder, who is currently with his national team preparing for the World Cup, told www.inter.it: "I will remain in Milan. I have experienced a fantastic year, clinching three trophies and now Inter will have to defend them. They will do it with me."
Sneijder joined Inter from Madrid last summer in a reported 15million euros deal. The 25-year-old, who scored four times in 26 league appearances to help Inter clinch the Scudetto, is under contract at the Italian champions until June 2013.
