Gudjonsson leaves Burnley
Icelandic midfielder Joey Gudjonsson has left Burnley by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old's contract was due to expire in the summer but he has now reached an agreement to leave Turf Moor with immediate effect.
Gudjonsson's departure will come as no surprise to Burnley's fans after he was suspended by the club for a fortnight last month following his criticism of manager Brian Laws prior to the 4-1 win at Hull.
Gudjonsson scored seven goals in 109 appearances since joining the Clarets in the summer of 2007, but made only one league start this season.
