Suwon Bluewings sank to the bottom of the K-league following a 2-0 loss at Chunnam Dragons. The team's sixth defeat in a row came just four days after the four-time title winners won Group G of the 2010 Asian Champions League.
Two fine first-half strikes cost the visitors the game against a Chunnam side that had started the day bottom of the league. The first came after eight minutes as Brazilian striker Indio fired a fierce 25-yard shot into the top corner, giving keeper Lee Woon-jae no chance.
Indio turned provider eight minutes before the break when his cross was chested down in the left side of the area by Jong Yoon-song, who then volleyed the ball into the roof of the net.
"We can't find our rhythm," said Suwon coach Cha Bum-keun after the game. "Even when we are playing well, we are making mistakes at decisive moments. There is still more than half of the season left and we will not give up. The players just need to believe in themselves and we can get through this difficult time."
Ulsan Horangi missed a chance to go top above Gyeongnam FC after being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Gwangju Sangmu. The Tigers had to come from 2-1 down after Kim Jung-woo and Kim Dong-hyun struck in the first half for the visitors and only a Jose Ortigoza penalty midway through the second period earned Ulsan a point. Elsewhere, Incheon United won 2-0 at Daejeon Citizen.
