Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has confirmed he has no plans to leave the club in the summer.
The 52-year-old has been linked with a summer move to Juventus and was also considered a possible successor to Italy coach Marcello Lippi. But a statement issued by Prandelli read: "Cesare Prandelli announces his intention to remain in Florence without any misgivings, thus, respecting the contract he has with the Viola."
Prandelli, who joined Fiorentina in 2005, is under contract with the club until June 2011. His announcement comes hours after Fiorentina president Diego Della Valle revealed he was stepping down from his post. The 56-year-old has been at the helm since 2002, overseeing the club's return to the top flight from Serie C2.
Della Valle felt let down by a section of La Viola fans who turned against him and his players in recent weeks.
