Gary Medel scored twice and was sent off with 15 minutes remaining as Boca Juniors claimed a 2-0 win over River Plate in the Superclasico.
The fixture resumed after torrential rain on Sunday forced it to be abandoned after 10 minutes, meaning the teams returned today to complete the remaining 80 minutes.
Medel scored his first goal in the 13th minute when he deflected a free-kick into the net before claiming his second three minutes after half-time. The Chilean was then sent off in the 74th minute for his second yellow card to cap an eventful afternoon at La Bombonera.
It was only Boca's second victory of the season and lifted them to 13th, one place behind River Plate.
