Blaise Nkufo hit a priceless equaliser as leaders Twente held second-placed PSV Eindhoven 1-1 tonight to preserve their five-point lead at the top of the Eredivisie.

Steve McClaren's side had fallen behind in the 49th minute when Danny Koevermans scored for home side PSV, however Swiss striker Nkufo, who will join the Seattle Sounders after the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, hauled Twente level in the 73rd minute.

Fourth-placed Feyenoord and struggling Vitesse Arnhem were forced to abandon their match at half-time due to heavy rain. They were tied at 1-1, with Ron Vlaar's opener for Feyenoord cancelled out by Wiljan Pluim's leveller just before the break.

Breda blanked
Heracles climbed to fifth place with a 3-0 win over Breda. Bas Dost put Heracles ahead after two minutes, and they pulled 2-0 clear just a minute later as Willy Overtoom stunned Breda. The third goal had to wait, with Everton getting it after 58 minutes.

Utrecht cruise
Second-bottom Willem II slumped to a 3-0 home defeat at the uncharitable hands of Utrecht. Jacob Mulenga opened the scoring after 14 minutes and goals after the break from Jan Wuytens and Alje Schut sealed victory.
