Al Ittihad spoiled Al Hilal's title-winning celebrations with a 2-1 win in the final round of the Saudi League on Thursday. Al Hilal, who secured the title with four rounds to go, finished the league at the top of the standing with 56 points seven points ahead of Al Ittihad.

Al Hilal had gone ahead after two minutes through their striker Yasser Al Qahtani but Al Ittihad skipper Mohamad Noor levelled matters with a penalty six minutes into the second period. Al Ittihad scored the winner through their Algerian striker Abdulmalek Ziaya after 79 minutes just three minutes before Al Hilal were reduced to 10 men when Romanian midfielder Mirel Radoi was sent off.

Elsewhere, Al Nasr climbed up to third and sealed their place in the 2011 AFC Champions League with a 4-2 win over Al Raed who joined Najran as the two teams who dropped to the second division. Mohamad Al Sahlawi's penalty put Al Nasr ahead after 22 minutes, but Mousa Al Shammeri levelled seven minutes later.

Al Sahlawi regained the lead for Al Nasr on 30 minutes. Argentinian midfielder Victor Figuero scored the third goal on 38 minutes before Mohsin Al Qarni reduced the deficit for Al Raed two minutes before the break while Ahmed Abbas scored the fourth goal with 10 minutes remaining.

Al Shabab dropped down to the fourth place in the standing following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Al Qadisiya who owed their win to Peruvian midfielder Juan Cominges's sixth-minute penalty.

AFC Champions League qualifiers Al Ahli suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Al Fateh to finish in the sixth place in the standing. Rabih Sufian gave the lead to Al Fateh after 32 minutes before Faisal Al Jamaan made it 2-0 on 50 minutes and Tunisian defender Ramzi ben Younes scored the third goal in the 78th minute just four minutes before Brazilian striker Victor Simoes scored the only goal for Al Ahli.

In the last matches of the night, Najran defeated Al Ittifaq 3-2 while Al Wahda shared a scoreless draw with Al Hazm.
