Chirag United moved within three points of I-League co-leaders Dempo and Mahindra United with a 2-0 win at Mumbai.

Martins Josimar opened the scoring after 16 minutes before setting up Ashim Biswas to double the visitors' advantage just before half-time.

With a seventh win of the season, Chirag moved up to fourth place, level on points with third-placed defending champions Churchill Brothers, while Mumbai slipped down to ninth on goal difference.

"We are really happy with the win as we came expecting that even one point should be good enough for us," said Chirag coach Anjan Nath.

"I consider this fortunate as getting three points from an away match surely will boost the morale of the team."
