Panathinaikos re-established their two-point advantage over PAOK Salonika at the top of the Greek Super League with a resounding defeat of Levadiakos today.
It took the hosts 64 minutes to make the breakthrough against the relegation candidates but once they did it was one-way traffic. Dimitris Salpingidis grabbed Pana's first with Sebastian Leto and the prolific Djibril Cisse completing the win.
PAOK had gone top yesterday thanks to a 3-0 defeat of rock-bottom Panthrakikos. Third-placed Olympiacos are now five points off the pace after going down 1-0 at Iraklis - a sixth-minute penalty from Bogdan Mara proving the difference.
Atromitos, in seventh, needed a last-minute goal from Stelios Sfakianakis to salvage a 1-1 draw at Ergotelis after falling behind to an own goal from striker Marek Saganowski.
A 90th-minute strike from Ibrahima Bakayoko enabled second-bottom Giannina to see off Asteras Tripoli 1-0 while goals from Bennard Kumordzi, Martin Latka and Bosko Balaban saw Panionios beat FC Xanthi 3-0.
