The Ligue 1 match on Sunday between Bordeaux and Le Mans has been postponed due to bad weather, both clubs have confirmed.

Certain stands at the Stade Leon-Bollee cannot cope with winds above 72 kilometres per hour and, with strong gusts predicted to reach 125 kilometres per hour tomorrow, it was decided to postpone the match until a later date.

The last visit that Bordeaux made to Le Mans was also affected by the weather, as their Coupe de la Ligue match in January had to be re-scheduled.

Le Mans headed into the weekend in 18th position in the table, six points from safety, while the champions had a three-point lead over Montpellier with a game in hand.
