Ligue 1 will kick off next season on 7 August after the French Football Federation ratified the calendar proposed by the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

The final day of the season will be on Sunday, May 29 which is a day after the UEFA Champions League final, although FFF president Jean-Pierre Escalettes claims they have a 'Plan B' in place should a French team be involved.

The Coupe de France final is scheduled for 14 May while the winter break will last from 23 December to 8 January.
