Bordeaux defender Matthieu Chalme has signed a two-year extension to his contract, keeping him at the Stade Chaban Delmas until 2014.

The 29-year-old joined Bordeaux in 2007 and swiftly imposed himself as regular choice in the right-back role.

Chalme, who played a key part in Bordeaux's championship victory last season, becomes the sixth player this campaign to extend his contract with Les Girondins, following in the footsteps of Carlos Henrique, David Bellion, Lamine Sane, Fernando Menegazzo and Jussie.
