Etoile won their first-ever game in the S.League as Flavien Michelini's 86th-minute goal was enough to down Beijing Guoan 1-0 at Jalan Besar Stadium.

It seemed for the majority of the encounter that the French side's debut in the competition would end in frustration as both sides cancelled each other out.

But Michelini struck four minutes from the end to finally break the Chinese side's resistance and seal three points for Patrick Vallee's men.
