Braga moved back to within a point of the Portuguese Liga summit on Monday with a comprehensive 3-1 victory at rock-bottom Belenenses, despite playing 75 minutes of the match with 10 men.

Braga were put on the back foot by the early dismissal of Pinheiro Moses, but still took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Paulo Cesar. Nascimento Matheus doubled the lead two minutes after the break, and fellow substitute Wenter Renteria got a third in the 73rd minute.

Jean-Paul Yontcha pulled a goal back for the hosts 11 minutes from time, but it was too little too late. Braga are one point behind Benfica with a game in hand, while Belenenses remain rooted to the foot of the table, six points adrift of safety.
