Defending champions Al Gharafa missed a chance to go top of the Qatar League as they shared a scoreless draw with Qatar SC on Thursday.
Al Gharafa remained second on goal difference behind leaders Al Sadd, who also shared a scoreless draw with Al Wakra on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Al Arabi returned to winning ways after two consecutive defeats as they came from behind to defeat Umm Salal 3-1.
Brazilian striker Magno Alves gave Umm Salal the lead after 12 minutes but his compatriot, Daniel Carvalho, levelled the after 32 minutes.
Al Arabi took the lead five minutes after the break through their other Brazilian, Cabore, just eight minutes before Mohamad Salem Al Mal scored the third goal.
In the other match, Bahrain defender Sayed Mohamad Adnan scored a brace to steer Al Khor to a 2-0 win against Al Khraitiat.
