Fulham have confirmed that Seol Ki-Hyeon is leaving the club for Hong Kong-based side South China.
The Korea Republic international signed from Reading in the summer of 2007 but has struggled to establish himself in the first team ever since and has only made one start this season. He is desperate to secure first-team football ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup™ and will leave the club immediately after manager Roy Hodgson agreed to cancel his contract.
A statement released on the club's website this afternoon read: "The club can confirm that Seol Ki-Hyeon's contract with Fulham FC has been cancelled by mutual consent."
It had been reported that he had favoured a return to Reading over a move to South China but Hodgson confirmed the 31-year-old's departure this afternoon. "Seol has decided to leave us. He's moving on," said Hodgson.
"We wish him all the best. He has been a good servant in his time at the club and he has been here longer than me. Whenever he was called upon he's gone out and done his best."
