Kawasaki Frontale have reached an agreement with French club Stade Rennes to sign Japan international Junichi Inamoto, the J.League club have confirmed.

Negotiations had been ongoing between the three parties since last month with Inamoto keen on a move to bolster his 2010 FIFA World Cup™ chances. The 30-year-old played just five times for Rennes since his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.

Inamoto will return to the J.League for the first time since he left Gamba Osaka for Arsenal in 2001. The midfielder also played for Fulham and West Brom during his time in the Premier League.
