Saudi League defending champions Al Ittihad shared a 2-2 draw with Italian giants Juventus in a friendly match in Jeddah on Wednesday.
The match was to mark the retirement of former Al Ittihad and Saudi Arabia national team striker Hamza Idris who took part in the game before handing his No9 shirt to striker Naif Hazzazi.
Al Ittihad opened the scoring after 11 minutes when midfielder Saud Khariri fired a powerful shot from outside the area past Juventus' Austrian goalkeeper Alex Manninger.
The lead lasted only five minutes as Sebastian Giovinco equalised for Juventus before Lorenzo Ariaudo gave the Italians the lead after 33 minutes.
However, Al Ittihad levelled in the last minute of the first half when Idris sent a neat pass to Algerian midfielder Lazhar Hajj Issa who scored with a powerful shot past Manninger.
