Defending UAE League champions Al Ahli have crashed out of the UAE President's Cup with a 2-0 loss to Al Shabab.

Adel Abdullah opened the scoring for Al Shabab in the 25th minute before Brazilian midfielder Carlos Renato made sure of the win two minutes from time.

Al Shabab go forward to the semi-finals to face Al Jazira, who beat the ten men of Al Dhafra 3-1.

Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira opened the scoring after 14 minutes for Al Jazira, and a late brace from Ibrahima Diaky finished the job.

Juma Khater was sent off in injury time to complete the misery for Al Dhafra.
