Sevilla today confirmed that Adriano will be out of action for three weeks. The Brazilian wingback sustained a thigh injury during Sevilla's 1-0 win at Sporting Gijon last night.

Sevilla was forced to substitute Adriano in the first half of the La Liga encounter in Gijon and the Brazilian has returned to South America to recuperate. He is not expected to return to first-team action until the new year.
