Brazilian Adriano was sent-off for Monaco for the foul which led to Cabaye's spot-kick.

Pegguy Luyindula opened the scoring after 11 minutes and Stephane Sessegnon made it 2-0 just two minutes later. Mevlut Erding effectively ended the game as a contest with a third goal for the home side five minutes before the interval.
