Adelaide United have completed the signing of Argentinian midfielder Marcos Flores on a two-year deal subject to a medical and visa clearance.
Reds boss Aurelio Vidmar had tried to sign the 24-year-old in April but contract negotiations initially broke down.
However, Vidmar has now successfully lured Flores to the A-League side and he should be available for Adelaide's first match in the group stage of the 2010 Asian Champions League next year.
"We're hoping he brings a little bit of quality into our attacking third," Vidmar said. "It's not easy tracking players but we certainly feel he is that type of playmaker that every club needs.
"He can score goals as well so he probably gets half a dozen per season, but he has also got a very good ability to bring players into the game. He has that vision to put the ball in the right spot, and I think he'll be a handy addition to our team."
Flores joins from Chilean side Curico Unido after starting his career at Union Santa Fe before enjoying a spell at Argentina first division side Newell's Old Boys.
