Adelaide United have already begun their preparations for next year after completing the signing of Nigel Boogaard from Central Coast Mariners.

The 2009-10 A-League season is not yet even at the halfway stage but the Reds moved quickly to snap up Boogaard on a two-year deal with his contract coming to an end at the end of the current campaign.

Boogaard said: "I've always respected the way Adelaide United both play football on the field and have done things off the field.

"The chance to move to Adelaide and join the club is something I'm really looking forward to."
