Al Ahli have appointed Brazilian Siza as coach for the remainder of the season, according to the club's official website.

Siza steps up from coaching the youth team to take caretaker charge after the sacking of his compatriot Heron Ricardo Ferreira on Saturday.

Siza coached Al Ahli two years ago, but could not stop them from being relegated to the second division.

Al Ahli are next in action on Friday against Al Arabi.
