Goals from Marc Janko and Franz Schiemer enabled Red Bull Salzburg to remain at the top of the table, as Rapid Vienna also won to keep up the pressure.

Janko and Schiemer got the goals as Salzburg won 2-0 over Mattersburg to keep them a point clear at the top of the table.

Markus Katzer got the only goal after 12 minutes as Rapid and Reid ended the game with ten players. Rapid had Rene Gartler sent off after 55 minutes and Philipp Huspek was dismissed in injury time, just 15 minutes after he had come on as a substitute.

Jantscher at the double
Sturm Graz are third after their 4-0 defeat of Austria Karnten, with Jakob Jantscher getting two of the goals. Andreas Hoelzl and Daniel Beichler added the others.

Ten-man Austria Vienna slipped to fourth following a 4-3 defeat away to Magna Wr. Neustadt.

Thiago Schumacher opened the scoring before Sanel Kuljic and a penalty from Hannes Aigner put the home side ahead at half-time, by which time Florian Klein had been dismissed.

Taner Ari put the home side 3-1 ahead before Milenko Acimovic reduced the arrears. Patrick Wolf made it 4-2 before substitute Mamadou Diabang netted in the final minute.
