Esteghlal failed to regain top spot in the Iran Pro League after they went down 1-0 at Zob Ahan.

Mohamadreza Khalatbari scored the only goal of the game after 23 minutes for the hosts, who moved level with Esteghlal on 24 points, one behind leaders Sepahan.
