Tampines Rovers reclaimed second place in the S-League with just two games remaining after recording a 2-0 win at Gombak United.

With Singapore Armed Forces already assured of a fourth consecutive title, Rovers are battling Home United for the runners-up spot and reclaimed the place by a point courtesy of two goals in quick succession in the first half at Jurong West Stadium.

Striker Qiu Li opened the scoring after 36 minutes before midfielder Aliff Shafaein doubled the advantage six minutes before the break.
