Est-Ahvaz comeback stuns Esteghlal
Iran Pro League leaders Esteghlal suffered their first defeat of the season when they fell victim to a stunning Est-Ahvaz fightback in a 3-2 home loss.
Goals from Arash Borhaniv and Gholamreza Enayati inside the first 21 minutes at the Azadi Stadium gave Esteghlal a two-goal lead at the break. However, Reza Magholi halved the deficit for Est-Ahvaz four minutes into the second period before Hamid Reza Rajabi and Mostafa Bijani struck in the 84th and 90th minutes respectively to snatch the points for the visitors.

However, two goals in two minutes just before the hour mark from Mohammad Reza Tahmasebi and Majid Khodabandelo ensured Peykan claimed a point. Bottom side Abumoslem are still searching for their first win of the season after they went down 3-1 at Malavan, Adriano Alvez's double either side of Mohammad Rajabzadeh's effort ensuring the hosts led at half-time before Jalal Rafkhaei wrapped up the points with a third one minute from time.
Finally, Steel Azin came from two goals down to draw with Saipa, veteran striker Ali Karimi's second-half brace ensuring a share of the spoils for the visitors.
