Panathinaikos reclaimed their place at the top of the Super League in emphatic fashion with a 4-0 win over winless Larissa on Monday.
Loukas Vyntra opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and Kostas Katsouranis added a second after 66 minutes, before Djibril Cisse weighed in with two in the last 20 minutes to give the score a lopsided look. The win took Pana back above Olympiacos, who beat Levadiakos 3-0 on Saturday.
Asteras Tripoli lost ground as they slipped to a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Ergotelis. The hosts were 2-0 down inside 22 minutes thanks to Maris Verpakovskis' double but pulled one back moments before the half-time whistle through Marcelao.
It was 2-2 when Danijel Cesarec netted just after the hour mark, but substitutes Dimitris Orfanos (77) and Deividas Cesnauskis (90) scored late to stun the home crowd.
Also on Monday, Mauro Poy scored the only goal as FC Xanthi beat AEK Athens 1-0, while PAOK Salonika overcame Iraklis by the same scoreline thanks to Vladimir Ivic's strike three minutes from time. Also, Panionios claimed their first win of the season, 2-1 over Atromitos.
