Seoul bounced back from their midweek Asian Champions League disappointment by defeating Jeju United 2-0 to return to the top of the table. Seoul were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the continental competition at the hands of Umm Salal, and with Jeonbuk Motors winning yesterday to leapfrog Seoul in the standings, the pressure was on Senol Gunes' men to get a win.

Dejan Damjanovic opened the scoring eight minutes before the break at the Jeju World Cup Stadium when the Montenegrin marksman headed past Kim Sung-min after good work from Kim Han-yoon following a whipped cross into the box by Kim Sung-yung.

Three minutes after the hour, Seoul's three points looked safe as Kim Chi-woo broke free down the left and Brazilian striker Anderson headed home his cross. Seoul have 47 points, two ahead of Jeonbuk, while Pohang Steelers drew 2-2 against Incheon United and now have 41.

It was disappointing to make defensive mistakes, but our target is still the same, to finish in the top two.

After defeating Bunyodkor 4-1 in the second leg of the Asian Champions league quarter-finals in midweek, Pohang started quickly in a rollercoaster first half. The Steelers took the lead after 13 minutes when a fine pass from Noh Byung-joon freed Stevo Ristic and the striker, who scored the winning goal in midweek, made no mistake in a one-on-one situation.

Incheon striker Yoo Byung-soo equalised ten minutes later before Denilson, another hero of the Bunyodkor win, restored Pohang's advantage. But Incheon equalised moments later again thanks to Serbian striker Dragan Cadiovski.

"We missed a lot of chances from the start of the game and so it became a tough match for us," said Pohang coach Sergio Farias.

"It was disappointing to make defensive mistakes, but our target is still the same, to finish in the top two."

In the day's other match, Ulsan are in sight of the play-offs thanks to a 2-0 win at home to Gwangju Sangmu.
