Serie A strugglers Atalanta have sacked head coach Angelo Gregucci and replaced him with former Juventus captain Antonio Conte.

Gregucci succeeded Luigi del Neri in the Atalanta hotseat in June but failed to have the desired impact in Bergamo. The club have lost their first four Serie A matches and lie bottom of the standings.

Former Bari boss Conte's first game at the helm will be Wednesday's home clash with Catania.
