VVV-Venlo midfielder Keisuke Honda would relish a move to PSV in the January transfer window.

The Japan international has been the revelation of the new Eredivisie season thus far, with five goals in VVV's opening five matches, all of which have ended in draws.

Honda was linked with a move to PSV before Monday's transfer deadline, but a switch failed to materialise.

The 23-year-old is hoping, however, that the Eindhoven heavyweights will rekindle their interest in January.

He told De Telegraaf: "If I leave VVV for another Dutch club it will be PSV. That is my first option.

"I have not yet spoken myself with PSV, but my representative has had contact with them."

Honda is contracted to VVV until 2011.
