Juventus' deadline-day signing Fabio Grosso has expressed his delight at "returning home" after making the move from French side Lyon.
Grosso, now 31, joined Lyon from Inter Milan in the summer of 2007, and was under contract with the French side for a further two seasons. However, Lyon lost their grip on the Ligue 1 title last season and the FIFA World Cup™-winning left-back opted to return to his native country.
"I am happy, very happy," he told juventus.it. "I returned home. I really wanted to come to Juve and I managed to make this dream come true. In my career I have always made choices that satisfied me."
Grosso admits the frantic last-minute deal hours before the transfer window closed was stressful. "Those moments weren't easy but the important thing is that I got what I wanted," he said. "I am going to Turin with the objective of winning all the competitions. Juve deserves great victories."
