Argentinian defender Nicolas Burdisso joined Roma from rivals Inter Milan on loan for the season, the champions reported.

The 28-year-old was a bit-part player under Inter coach Jose Mourinho last season.

He can play either at centre-back or full-back and will bolster a Roma defence that lost veteran Christian Panucci to Parma in the summer.
