AC Milan have confirmed Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has completed his transfer from Real Madrid and signed a four-year contract at the San Siro. The two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee last night, and the Netherlands striker underwent a medical at the Serie A club today.
"After passing the medical, Klaas Jan Huntelaar is officially a Milan player," read a statement on the club's official website. "The Dutch striker has signed a contract which ties him to the club until June 30, 2013.
"All of Milan give Huntelaar the warmest possible welcome to the Rossoneri family. Klaas is Dutch, as so many of the sweetest memories of the whole Milan story in the past 23 years are Dutch."
Huntelaar only moved to the Bernabeu from Ajax in January, but has found life difficult in Spain and has been unable to hold down a regular starting spot in the side.
The arrival of several big-name players over the summer - including Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema - pushed the 25-year-old even further down the attacking order and Real made it clear they would listen to offers for him.
A proposed move to Stuttgart was turned down by the player, while Tottenham Hotspur had also expressed an interest in Huntelaar, who scored eight goals in 20 La Liga games.
